Why Choose Us

The playgroup is a registered charity. It is managed by a committee of volunteer parents and carers. It consists of a Chairperson, a Secretary, a Treasurer and other trustees all of whom are elected by the parents. The committee members are elected at the Annual General Meeting held in the autumn term each year.

We provide a broad range of challenging and stimulating play activities that promote children's overall development. Within the group all children are supported in developing their potential at their own pace. Our key-person system enables us to ensure a planned curriculum tailored to the needs of each individual child. We offer the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum by means of developmentally appropriate play activities and a high level of individual adult input.

The seven areas of learning and development include:

Prime Area's

  • Personal, Social and Emotional Development
  • Communication and Language
  • Physical Development

Specific Area's

  • Literacy
  • Mathematics
  • Understanding the World
  • Expressive Arts and Design
